Since my last entry, which I am afraid was too long ago, I've been to Haiti once but for a very short stay. It was my mother's 80th birthday and I took my three sons to celebrate with the family.
The two older ones had been there once before when they were very little but the younger one had never been. It was an eye opener for them but they thoroughly enjoyed it. We are going again on the 8th of June and I hope to report on what I see and experience.
My silence was not due to a lack of care but rather because of personal difficulties. I went through a divorce and find myself in the ranks of the "Facebook dads". I am rebuilding though and will continue to grow and do the best I can in this world.
One of my last blogs mentioned a resort called Abaka bay. This is one of Haiti's success stories. They have been awarded the tripadvisor 2013 certificate of excellence and have been voted 57th most beautiful beach in the world. Great news for Haiti!
